The Soundsteps Music Method

This is an innovative and structured course of 15 graded workbooks, or Steps, for keyboard/piano, with each Step taking one term to complete.

Children are given an all round musical education and are taught to read, write and play music. Lessons are varied and include aural and theory using musical games and quizzes.

Younger children learn through our "Keyboard Street" story book of houses, shops and characters, which help to make the learning process easy and fun.

The Soundsteps Music Method provides excellent preparation for anyone who wants to take keyboard/piano to an advanced standard. All skills taught can be transferred to any keyboard instrument including the piano.

As well as the fun they have when they learn to play, children also develop vital life skills such as concentration, co-ordination, memory development and self-confidence. It has been proved that learning to play a musical instrument can help children advance in other school subjects such as maths and science. Soundsteps lessons have also helped many children in the past get in to the secondary school of their choice, and some pupils have gone on to study music at performing schools, such as The Brit School and at University and Music College.
