Chris is the ‘principal’ of soundsteps music school. He began his professional music career performing in cabaret bands around the UK before moving on to working solo, playing piano mainly in London, but also abroad in Germany, Luxembourg & Norway to name a few. He secured a contract with Neptune music publishing company, composing music for artists. During this period Chris performed with his own band supporting well estatblished acts such as Shakatak and Modern Romance. in February 2003, Chris opened the first Soundsteps Centre in west London hoping to inspire school aged children to experience the enjoyment and fulfillment of learning a musical instrument. Many students have excelled and continue to excel their own musical expectations. In 2015, Chris returned to the recording studio, and completed the album "Borderin’ the Trainline".

I am from Russia and I am a Music Teacher who holds a strong belief that music can change lives for better. I have been teaching music since 2006 - the first 2 years at Art School in Russia and then I gave private music lessons in Latvia. I have been in England since 2011 when I came to the UK to join my husband. I can play the piano, guitar and button accordion. Apart from music, I love reading, travelling and meeting new people.
I started learning classical piano at the age of six, at first attending a music school and then having private tuition for further seven years. I have a Master's degree from the prestigious Academy for film and arts, Sofia. My career was mainly in TV and radio broadcasting until I moved to England 18 years ago. Since, I've worked as a teacher in a Foreign languages school and as a private piano tutor.
